I put this design together as the image for our gift bags. I was going to rhinestone it but we decided to go with a Red Hat with Purple band in rhinestones instead. So I cut this out and made it into the welcome poster for the registration table.

This is the first image I created of a Gypsy Vardo. I got the idea watching YouTube videos. I then figured out how to create the layout I needed to design and cut the centerpieces.

This is the rhinestone pattern for gift bags; first time I designed a rhinestone two color image and created 250 transfers and the first time I used my heat press to set the stones to the bags. It was a very successful experience.

These are my entries for the 3rd Crafters Digital Art Center Challenge. I colored each image with copic markers and added glitter with stickles glitter glue. I use ribbon and decorates scissors on the designer papers. I love these images.

This Gypsy Vardo will be a table centerpiece for a theme party, Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves for the Red Hat Society I belong to. So the wagon is Purple, The roof and steps Red and the woodwork is silver. I plan to drape red and purple beads around the wagon and add a few gold wrapped chocolate coins.

I have been using my Cricut Carts along with switching between Cri-Kit Pens and the blades (sort of a faux digi art effect) and as always adding Stickles, Copics, Gems, Buttons, Embroidery Thread, Glossy Accents and anything else that takes my fancy, while trying new ways of designing cards. I tried my Cri-Kit Pens (different company than Provocraft) in my Cricut and the MTC (Make The Cut) software with layers so I could print the colors separately. I found a fun design font for the silver design and TTF Fonts for everything else. I just love these pens, it brings a whole new level of creativity to my thinking. I added dots of silver stickles inside the champagne glasses and the four centers of the silver design. I traced over the red with Red Stickles and added clocks at midnight instead of tiny bubbles. I added a Red ribbon to the glasses to add balance to the colors. Wishing Everyone a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year!!!

Cutters Creek Blog Hop December 11 and 12, 2010

I decided my craft room needed a Christmas Tree with decorations and what better choice then Red and Green. I used images from Cricut Christmas cartridge, Seasons Greetings and Christmas Cheer. The Tree is cut twice from the Christmas Cartridge on 12 x 12 card stock. I folded each tree in half and one piece slit from treetop to middle and the other from bottom to middle and slid together.

The banner is also from the Christmas Cartridge and adhered with scor tape to the Ribbon.

The Tree topper is from Joys of the Season and I used glue dots between the Red and Green. I used Green and Christmas Red Stickles a lot! I created snow on the edges using Marvy Uchida liquid applique and my heat gun. The deer is from the Christmas cartridge.

The Snowflakes are from the Christmas Cartridge I made two in Red and two in Green folded in half and glued together using a Quickie glue pen and alternating Green and Red. I used COPIC G07 Nile Green and R29 Lipstick Red to cover the Twinkle Jewels and adhered with Glossy Accents

The Skate is from Joys of the Season and snowflake is folded in half over branch and looks very festive. I put Red stickles on the laces and Sakura Gelly Roll Silver on the blade.

The train is from the Christmas cartridge and the shadow layer is green with decoratvie paper for the train.

The winter house is from the Christmas cartridge and covered with lots of Diamond stickles.

My Mother's Day Card submitted to Cutter's Creek Design Team

I decided to make a Trifold card for Mother’s Day. I found this lace edge pattern in the Make The Cut Library and welded two together to create this pretty ribbon. I then created a shadow image which I cut out with white cardstock and used as the base. I sprayed the pink cardstock with Shimmerz Ruby Spritz before gluing it to the base. I glued pearls to the center using Tim Holtz Glossy Accents.

I used the Plantin School Book Cartridge to create the words which I welded together using Design Studio. I sprayed them with Shimmerz Ruby Spritz and once the spray was dry, I added Diamond Stickles. I had a quilling book for a few years and always wanted to try quilling and decided now was the time. I used regular card stock and cut it into 1/8 inch strips. The pink petals are very pretty when they unwind the way they are meant to.

Before I quilled the leaves I ran the cardstock through a crimper for an interesting effect.

I cut the butterfly using the Home Décor Cricut Cartridge and I added Diamond Stickles. I used Kaiser Scrapbook paper flowers which I colored with Copic Ciao Marker R20 Blush and embellished with self adhesive pearls by Kaisercraft.

I created the white background with the Martha Stuart Lattice Punch. The trick is to cut the white paper ¼ inch wider to make up for what is cut off using the punch.

I’m really pleased with the soft dainty look of this card.

I recently purchased Make The Cut software so I could cut images with my Cricut that are not from Cricut cartridges. I purchased an Easter egg collection from http://www.svgcuts.com/ and sized them to fit the card. I used large foam pop dots so the eggs would have a 3D effect. The remaining images are from various cricut cartridges and I matched the stickles to the flowers, ribbon and flower centers along the top. Happy Easter!

This was so fun to make using my paper crimper, Martha Stewart Punch, Cuttlebug dots embossing folder, Spellbinder Scallop circle, landscape stamp and Tilda are from Magnolia. The paper flowers are colored with Copic Markers to match the rest of the card colors.

Snowman was created using Cricut's Christmas Cheer, Merry Christmas is from Joys of the Season cartridge and the snowballs were created from George and Basic shapes cartridge and design studio to manipulate them into a cluster. Colored with Copic Ciao markers and Stickles Glitter Glue and Sakura Jelly Roll pens. Green border around december was cut with a Martha Stewart punch. Background behind Snowman and Tilda was airbrushed using Spellbinders Impressabilities Snowflakes mask (also called a stencil). I don't have the copic airbrush system (yet), so I used my paasche airbrush and diluted green createx transparent color.

The sky background was embossed using Cuttlebug paisley folder. Tree is from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge and leaves from Cricut Wild Card cartridge. The fence post is a Martha Stewart Punch. And a Tilda stamp and copic markers. The white highlights are done with a Sakura Pen Touch white ink. The zigzag edge on the sides of November paper was cut using one of Provo Crafts' decorative scissors. I covered the shoes with Glossy Accents to create a patent leather look.

I enjoyed making October and searching for bats and ghosts, a spooky house and tree and I really like the look of the drippy ozing grass. How clever is Tilda is using a spider as a YoYo. So here's how I did it.

The house is from the Cricut, Joy's of the Season Cartridge and welded to the tree from the Graphically Speaking cartridge. These are welded to the grass which is from the Mickey and Friends cartridge. It's actually grass flipped upside down. The bats are from Wild Card and the ghost from Paper Doll Dress up. All the black paper was covered with Studio G Glitter Glue (more shiney than glittery). The ghost covered with Stickles Diamonds glitter glue. Hint, Diamonds glitter glue will add tremendous sparkle to any color so you don't have to buy all the stickles colors to match your background colors.

September is a family member's birthday who lives in Canada. I made this Calendar Set for her as a Christmas Gift. The cupcake is from Wild Card cartridge, grass and flowers from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. Happy Birthday from Beyond Birthday's cartridge. I embossed the paper behind the calendar with a Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder and the decorative lace edge is a Martha Stewart Punch. I used Copics to color Tilda and stickles for glitter.

I stumbled a bit trying to decide what to do for August. Tilda, her Inner Tube and the background are all Magnolia Stamps. I cut the circle with Creative Memories custom ovals cutting system. The scallop was cut with a Nestabilities classic scallop oval but I didn't have one to fit so I pieced it together. I think it looks fine. I used Copic markers for coloring and stickles for glitter. The soft yellow around the month was done using pan pastels, these are the best pastels you could ever want for blending. Copics and Pans look really nice together.

There are many ways to embellish these pages and the calendars for next year will be very different. I've never made these before and I had 6 sets to make and thought starting in September would be enough time. NOT! So I couldn't get too creative, I had to keep moving.

I am already working the 2011 sets so I have more time to be creative and polished.

Tilda and the background are both Magnolia stamps colored with Copic markers and outlined with Sakura Gelly Roll Silver glitter pen, this technique really makes the background pop. The center of the sunflower is glitzed with Hampton Art's Studio G glitter glue. I added a cute Fun in the Sun ribbon and some colorful papers behind the background. The edges are colored with Pan pastels.

Tilda's shoes are glazed with Glossy Accents.

April showers bring May flowers.

I used pinks and purples from the Pan pastels to colorize the background paper. The flowers are from George and Basic shapes cartridge and glitzed with Stickles Diamonds.

The flowers on the bottom are from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

The paper is edged with Martha Stewart's lace edge punch.

I think Edwin is looking very Irish. He belongs to the Magnolia collection. The pot of gold and the clovers are from Paper Doll Dressup cartridge. I used Studio G glitter glue on the pot and copics on Edwin.

Sweetheart's month. I cut the hearts from the Wild Card cartridges and glitzed them with stickles. I rolled the background papers through a crimper. I tried something different with Tilda's Rose, I applied a thick layer of stickles Christmas Red and let it dry and then added a thick layer of Lavendar to the remaining petals and it really makes the rose pop.

I also rolled the solid hearts around a pencil and glued them slightly raised off the page.

I have gotten so much praise for this page I think it will be next years Christmas Card. I cut the snow and trees from the Christmas cartridge. I used white liquid applique and a heat gun to make it rise. I've never used this before and am very pleased with the results. When the applique cools it feels like rubber. I added Diamond stickles to create snow sparkle. I layered the trees to create depth, I like how that turned out. The background paper with the silver was given to me by a friend at work.

Tilda with Wine

I used a Spellbinder die for the butterfly and used chalk and pastels to color it, then covered with Satin Craft Varnish to add Gloss. Belt Buckle is also a Spellbinder die covered with Craft Varnish. You can get the same affect using Tim Holtz Glossy Accents.

I used a Spellbinder Nestibility die to create the blue frame and the blue, pink and white squares. The flower was cut from a Cricut cartridge. Stamp is Magnolia's Loving Tilda colored with watercolor pencils.

I used Tim Holtz polka dots paper, Provocraft decorative scissors to cut a white piece of shinny photo paper. Car cut from Cricut Cartridge Paper Doll Dressup, Magnolia's Edwin Stamp colored with staedtler watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I don't remember where I got the Stamp saying but I think it is a compliment to the card.
